Worked closely with designers and developers from original brainstorm to product launch and refinement. Product areas included Web, mobile and video. Later expanded to Bonnier Men's Group. Brands included Popular Science, Popular Photography, American Photography, Field & Stream and Outdoor Life.
Early employee. Responsible for product roadmap and overall strategy relating to new and existing Grandparents.com products. This included the conception, development, launch and optimization of a Groups feature on the site and multiple redesigns. Fostered a positive environment for community members through Group leader mentoring, crafting and enforcing of community guidelines and one-on-one customer support.
Involved in the crafting and execution of About.com’s initial social media strategy. Goals included raised levels of user participation, greater engagement and an increase in user-generated content. This was my first taste of product management work.
